Westbound lane restriction planned for I-24

traffic-advisory

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Plans a work zone lane restriction for westbound traffic on the Interstate 24 Tennessee River Bridge at the 30 mile marker on Monday morning, April 9, 2018.

I-24 westbound traffic will be restricted to one lane at the 30 mile marker to allow deck repairs on the westbound Tennessee River Bridge. This westbound work zone lane restriction is expected to go up about 7:30 a.m. It is expected to remain in place until after just after Noon on Monday to allow the concrete patching material to cure.

Westbound motorists on I-24 should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they pass the I-24/State Route 453 exit 31 Grand Rivers Interchange.

As a reminder, there is also an eastbound lane restriction on the I-24 Tennessee River Bridge.

The Interstate 24 Tennessee River Bridges are twin tied arch suspension bridges at mile point 29.352 at the Marshall-Livingston County Line.
