Lady Marshals hold off Calloway County in 36-32 win

Kinley Edwards gets to the loose ball ahead of Calloway County’s Charlee Settle in Friday’s district game at Marshall County.

Win number 10 of the season didn’t come easy for the Lady Marshals against district rival Calloway County. Ten ties and numerous lead changes throughout the closely contested game ended in the favor of the Lady Marshals, picking up their 17th consecutive win over Calloway County, holding the Lady Lakers to their lowest point total of the season.

“I told them after the game, I’ve coached 27 years in college…that going in with a game plan…that was probably executed probably one of the top five, because they focused in on what we were trying to do”, Head Coach Martin Clapp said.
