Marshall County swimmers continue to improve and set new personal records as their season draws closer to the February regional championships. At the Nofsinger Invitational Thursday at the Madisonville YMCA, seven swim team members set new personal best times.
Coleton Jones and Jason Sheridan set new personal bests in the 50 freestyle, Maddie Goins in the 100 butterfly, Maidie Siress, Clint Walker and Kelly Walker in the 500 freestyle and Mary Grace Thompson in the 100 breaststroke.
The team recorded three individual first place finishes from Wyatt Moshure in the 200 yard freestyle and Clara Bradley in both the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events. Both the boy’s and girl’s 200 yard medley relay teams placed first and the girl’s 200 yard freestyle relay.
The team will be in the pool in competition again on Monday, January 8th at the Paducah Tilghman Invitational at the Paducah Athletic Club.
