Two Marshall County records were broken and eight new personal best times were set by several members of the swim team at Saturday’s Candy Cane Classic at the Owensboro Health Park.
Clara Bradley broke two school records on Saturday in the 100 freestyle in 59.30, breaking the old record of 59.41 set in 2006 by Kristen Jones. Bradley also broke her own record in the 50 freestyle set in the first meet of the season. Bradley broke her old record time of 26.87, setting a new record time of 26.85. This was also a record held since 2006 by Jones.
This was the team’s third meet this season. They will compete at the Madisonville YMCA Tuesday and Saturday at the MSU Wellness Center in the Murray Invitational.
