Spraggs announces candidacy for District 2 county commissioner

Kevin Spraggs, a local real estate broker and auctioneer on Tuesday announced his intent to seek election to the District 2 County Commissioner’s seat.

Spraggs lives in west Marshall County with his wife and daughter, Kandi and Kennadi, and has worked in real estate for the last 19 years. He was the 2015 president of the Kentucky Lakes Board of Realtors and named Realtor of the Year in 2016.

“I have 19 years of experience in negotiating and closing deals, which would be a huge benefit for Marshall County when it comes to economic development and buying goods and services,” Spraggs said in a letter of intent.

Spraggs is also involved in a number of volunteer efforts as well, according to the letter, including work with the Marshall County Exceptional Center, Needline, Marcella’s Kitchen and Marshall County Hospital.

Spraggs pledged accessibility and an open-door policy for citizens if elected.

“I believe that Marshall County needs my help and feel I have what it takes to move Marshall County to the next level,” he said.
