Letters to the editor policy

Marshall County Daily welcomes letters to the editor for publication. Letters must be submitted by the author and must include the author’s first and last name (no initials), town or community of residence, phone number and email address. Personal contact information will not be published or used for commercial purposes, but must be included for verification purposes.

Anonymous letters or those submitted without contact information will not be published.

Letters should be no more than 500 words and may be edited for length and clarity. No more than one letter per household, per 30-day period.

Letters endorsing political candidates will be accepted as advertisements and published, for a charge of $10 each.

Marshall County Daily reserves the right to refuse publication.

Letters may be sent to news@marshallcountydaily.com, subject line “Letter to the editor.” Letters may also be sent via USPS to: Marshall County Daily, RE: Letter to the Editor, P.O. Box 387, Benton, KY 42025.

Payment for political endorsement letters may be mailed along with letter to the above address or brought to Freeland Broadcasting offices at WCBL, 1039 Egner’s Ferry Road, Benton, KY 42025.
