South Marshall Middle School students are doing their part to help those affected by recent hurricanes in the U.S.
Sixth-grader Izzy Washburn proposed and organized a penny war, in which classes compete to see which can raise the most pennies, among students and staff to raise money for relief efforts. The school raised $609.88 to put toward the initiative.
