KHEAA to host workshop on postsecondary financing at MCHS

Marshall County High School students and their parents will have the opportunity to learn about potential ways to finance their postsecondary education.

Matt Jones, representative of the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA), will host a “Paying for College 101” workshop at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18 in the Kenneth Shadowen Performing Arts Center at MCHS in Draffenville. The workshop is designed to help high school students and/or their parents understand the nuts and bolts of the financial aid application process, according to an MCHS news release.

KHEAA is a public corporation and governmental agency and instrumentality of the Commonwealth established in 1966 to improve students’ access to higher education. To that end, KHEAA administers several financial aid programs and disseminates information about higher education opportunities.
