MCCH earns award for joint replacement

Orthopaedic care at Murray-Calloway County Hospital is among the top 10% in the nation as measured by volume-weighted performance according to this year’s evaluation from Healthgrades, the leading online resource helping consumers make informed decisions in order to find the right doctor, the right hospital for the right care. Every year, Healthgrades evaluates hospital performance at nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide for 34 of the most common inpatient procedures and conditions.

Murray Orthopaedics was named Top 10 percent in the Nation for orthopaedic surgery by Healthgrades in 2017. The distinction places Murray Orthopaedic’s among the top 10 percent of more than 4,500 hospitals nationwide for clinical performance as measured by Healthgrades, the leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals.

Murray-Calloway County Hospital also received 5-stars for its performance in knee replacement and hip fracture care from Healthgrades for 2017. They have remained a five-star recipient in total knee replacement from 2003-17 and in hip fracture treatment from 2007-17.
