Once again, kayak anglers from across the country will converge on Kentucky Dam State Village and Resort Park for the 4th Annual Kentucky Lake Hobie Bass Open to fish for cash, prizes and an invitation to represent Team USA at the Hobie Fishing World Championships for the top two finishers.
This year’s Hobie Bass Open looks to be even bigger with over $10,000 in cash and great prizes from sponsors to be given away.
The Hobie Bass Open is a catch, photograph and release tournament where anglers measure and photograph their fish, scoring the top three bass by total aggregate length. Species that qualify are large mouth bass, small mouth bass and spotted bass.
The Fun Fest will take place on Saturday from 10:00 to 2:00 at the Kentucky Dam Beach with vendor and the opportunity to demo various kayak brands.
