LAND BETWEEN THE LAKES, KY/TN – April 28, 2017 – The 40th Annual Special Populations Fishing Tournament will be hosted by Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area on Saturday, May 20 at Honker Lake, off Forest Service Road 138 near Woodlands Nature Station. Registration for the free tournament is from 8-9am; fishing is from 9am until 12pm. Prizes will be awarded for the heaviest string of fish.
Kentucky Lake Bass Club and the Knights of Columbus of Aurora will sponsor the tournament. This tournament develops the fishing skills of children and adults who are physically or mentally challenged.
“This is a fun day for volunteers, parents, caregivers, and especially the anglers,” commented Cathy Goode with Kentucky Lake Bass Club. “We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy this special event!”
