Christian Fellowship forms first ever tennis team

Ari Phillips won a game in his match against Marshall’s Charlie Reed in Christian Fellowship’s first ever tennis match.

DRAFFENVILLE – Christian Fellowship School has formed their first ever tennis team made up of nine boys who played their inaugural match last week at Marshall County. Coached by Scott Vaughn, the nine team members are Brian Sibly, Gavin Cypret, Ari Phillips, Jesse Covey, Wesley Manning, Jordan Vaughn, Ben Hummel, Jordan Hailey and Boaz Burnett.

In their first match last week at Marshall County, they lost 9-0 but were not completely shut out picking up two games by Vaughn who lost 8-2 to Hayden Jaco and one game each was won by Ari Phillips in his 8-1 loss to Charlie Reed and Brian Sibly in an 8-1 loss to Colton Adrian.

The Eagles next match is at Calloway County on Thursday.
