Hazel Louise Hill, age 87, of Benton, KY, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Marshall Co. Hospital E. R. in Benton, KY. She was retired as the dining room supervisor at Kenlake State Park, a member of the Hardin Baptist Church, a member of the Eastern Star, a Kentucky Colonel, a founding member of the Kenlake Ladies Golf Club, and a very strong democrat working the Aurora Ross precinct for many years.
She was the daughter of the late Solon Inman and the late Lorenzie (York) Inman. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Joe Howard Hill, and one sister: Pearline Gordon.
She is survived by one daughter: Shelia Smith and husband Ronald of Benton, KY; three sons: Gary Hill and wife Karen, Larry Hill and wife Dianne, and Barry Hill and wife Teresa all of Benton, KY. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Heather Hill, Garrick Hill and wife Brandi, Temple Hill, Rachael Smith, and Rebekah Smith; and four great grandchildren: Mason Hill, Campbell Hill, Jackie Hill, and Isaac Smith.
Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, March 24, 2017. Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 25, 2017, with Rev. Ricky Cunningham officiating. Interment will be at Unity Cemetery, Hardin, KY.
