Marshall County Sheriff’s Report February 15, 2017

On February 14th at 11:56 am, Deputy Steven Oakley responded to the Purchase Parkway at the exit 41 ramp in reference to an accident with possible injuries. Tessa J. McNeal 32, of Mansfield, IN, was southbound on the Purchase Parkway when she began to exit and lost control on the ramp. The vehicle left the roadway on the left shoulder coming to rest in a ditch. Both occupants refused medical treatment at the scene. Upon investigation McNeal was cited at the scene for Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operators License, Display or Possess of Cancelled Operators License, Failure to Surrender Revoked Operators License, Failure of Non-Owner to Maintain Required Insurance and Failure to Produce Insurance Card.

On February 13th at approximately 5:40 pm, Deputy Chris Greenfield was dispatched to the area of Jack Treas Road and Brewers Highway in reference to a vehicle sitting in the roadway. Upon arrival and investigation, Deputy Greenfield made contact with the operator, Christy Sledd of Murray. Sledd stated she had gotten lost and ran out of gas. Further investigation revealed an open bottle of alcohol in the vehicle and the driver was unable to pass field sobriety. Sledd, age 42, of Murray was charged with Operating Motor Vehicle U/Influence ALC/ Drugs/ Etc .08 ( AGG Circum) 1st offense and Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle Prohibited.
