Cameron Thurman will continue football career at Lindsey Wilson

DRAFFENVILLE – Cameron Thurman signed his National Letter of Intent to play football at Lindsey Wilson College Wednesday at Marshall County High School. Cameron was a 4-year member of the Marshall County Football team and anchored both the offensive and defensive lines for much of his career.

Cameron’s effort on the field caught the eyes of many during his junior and senior seasons. He was a 2-time member of the All-WKC Team as well as a selection to the Paducah Sun All-Purchase Team in both 2015 and 2016. This past season he was also selected to the Courier Journal All-State Team as an Honorable Mention along with an Honorable Mention selection to the AP All-State Team.

Cameron was the first player in Marshall County history to participate in the January 21st KY/TN Border Bowl held in Sevierville, TN. In his career Cameron collected 160 tackles and blocked for an offense that gained over 3500 yards on the season in 2016.

Cameron will join teammates Tristen Prange and Lucas Forsythe who also signed with Lindsey Wilson Wednesday. The Blue Raiders finished the 2016 season with a record of 11-2 and lost in the quarter-finals of the NAIA Football Championship.
