At approximately 6 PM Sunday, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision on US Hwy 68 E near Aurora.
A green 2010 Chevrolet Aveo driven by Trevor Simmons of Cadiz, KY was traveling east on US Hwy 68E when pedestrian Jeremy Robinson of Hardin, KY walked across the road into the path of Simmons.
Simmons attempted to avoid Robinson but was unable to and struck Robinson.
Both parties were transported to Marshall County ER were Robinson was pronounced dead by Marshall County Coroner.
Robinson had headphones with him and family reported that Robinson was going for a walk and that he frequently uses his headphones in listening to music.
Investigation is still ongoing but alcohol is not suspected at this time. Marshall County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Marshall County EMS, Coroners Office, and South Marshall fire department.
