CHAMBER ANNOUNCES “AFTER HOURS BUSINESS NETWORKING EVENT”

The Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce in Marshall County would like to invite all business owners and employees to their first “After Hours Business Networking Event” to be held Thursday, October 27, 2016 in the first floor meeting room of the Benton CFSB branch located at 221 West 5th Street in Benton. Please make plans to stop by anytime between 5:15 and 7:15 p.m. for some good old-fashion face-to-face mingling with other business folks in the community, promoting of your own business, meeting new people and building new business relationships.

“This event is something that our Chamber Board has been talking about for a while and wanted to put together for our business community” said Chamber Director Debbie Buchanan. “Just because we are a small community doesn’t mean that we necessarily know what all of our neighboring businesses do and offer, so hopefully through this event more people can learn about each other, which makes for a great opportunity to cross-market, which means if someone comes to you for a certain item or service that you don’t have, but you know a local business that does, then you can send them there and vice versa. You help each other out like that, so knowing what they do and offer helps.

Appetizers and refreshments will of course be served at the event in a mix and mingle casual atmosphere. “The goal is just to bring businesses together”, said Chamber Board Member Treston Smith. There is also the ability for a business to set up a display if you would like to promote your business in that way, or if you just want to bring brochures about your business, there will be a table for that set up as well. Just RSVP to the Chamber at 270-527-7665 or email chamber@marshallcounty.net if you would like your own table so it can get set up for you. All guests are encouraged to bring plenty of business cards so that you can exchange them with other guests while you are there.
