Marshall County Sheriff’s Report – September 19, 2016

sheriffOn Saturday September 17th Sgt. Eddie McGuire was dispatched to Darnell Road in reference to a disturbance. While in contact with the subject, a female arrived and the male subject began yelling. Sgt. McGuire advised the subject that he needed to remain quiet and he continued yelling and refusing commands. The subject had obviously been drinking. Christopher M. Petalino 26, of West Paducah, was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree.

On Saturday September 17th Deputy Josh Anderson was dispatched to the area of BP in Calvert City to observe for a vehicle. Upon arrival, Deputy Anderson observed the described vehicle at the gas pumps. The male appeared to be unsteady on his feet when he got back into the vehicle. The vehicle left and Deputy Anderson followed to observe. The vehicle was swerving in its lane of traffic. When Deputy Anderson conducted a traffic stop he could smell alcohol coming from the vehicle. The subject refused the field sobriety test and PBT test. Samuel G. Shepard 22, of Murfreesboro, TN, was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence and Careless Driving.

For the week of September 12th through September 19th the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following: 14 Traffic Accidents, 5 Motorist Assists, 1 DUI, 20 Traffic Stops, 101 Extra Patrols, 10 Burglary/Theft reports, 5 Disturbances, 7 Domestic Disturbances, 9 Investigations, 23 Have a Deputy Call, 12 Prisoner Transports, 11 Suspicious Person Reports, 6 Suspicious Vehicles, 17 Warrants Attempted, 13 Civils Attempted and 8 Welfare Checks contributing to 409 calls responded to.
