Mike Schugg, new owner of Kenlake Marina has wasted no time with his support of his new community. The marina, in cooperation with the Kenlake State Resort Hotel, has organized a raffle with proceeds going directly to Marcella’s Kitchen.
The raffle consists of dinner for four at Kenlake Resort, one night’s lodging, breakfast for four at Cindy’s on the Barge, and a full-day’s pontoon rental. The winner will enjoy a fabulous escape to the lake. Tickets are $5 each, three for $10, or seven for $20. Tickets are available this week at Kenlake Marina and the Hitching Post (16474 US-68, Aurora) this week. On Saturday night, tickets will be available at Willow Pond Southern Catfish Restaurant, and over the weekend, tables will be at Shop-a-Roma and Kings Brothers. The winning ticket will be drawn on Labor Day, September 5th at the marina.
“I just want to help out the community,” stated Schugg. The proceeds from this raffle will go a long way in feeding those in need in our area. Marcella’s Kitchen is a community kitchen providing a full course meal Monday through Friday, from 11 am to 1 pm. The kitchen is located at 242 Griggstown Road, behind Johnny’s Barbershop in Draffenville.
