Six seniors anchor 2016 Lady Marshals volleyball team

DRAFFENVILLE – The Lady Marshals volleyball team will begin their regular season at home on August 16th against Hickman County led by six returning seniors Ragan Harris, Paige Henson, Alexis Hines, Hannah Langhi, Lakin Reed and Kirsten Walker.

The team lost five seniors to graduation but return All District and All-Region Tournament Team players Henson and Langhi.

Along with the seniors, fifth-year Head Coach Dan Langhi has three juniors, six sophomores and 11 freshman/middle school players.

Last season the Lady Marshals finished 20-16, losing the 4th District Championship 3-2 to Christian Fellowship, going on to win their first two rounds in the Region 1 Tournament over Ballard Memorial and Paducah Tilghman before falling in the championship game to McCracken County.

To compliment his veterans, Coach Langhi is looking for some underclassmen to step up and prove themselves over the next few scrimmages. After two games next week at home against Hickman County and at Ballard Memorial. The team will jump right into district games the following week against Calloway County and Christian Fellowship.

September 15th, in their home game against McCracken County, an alumni night is being planned for former MCHS players.
