Calvert City Police Report July 18th, 2016

 Daron L. Depriest, 35, of 36 Hawthorne Circle, Calvert City was arrested on July
07, 2016 by Officer Wes Babcock for assault 4th degree (domestic violence) minor
injury.


     Amber L. Dawson, 30, of 7633 Benton Road, Paducah was arrested on July 09, 2016
by Officer Wes Babcock on a McCracken County warrant for failure to appear.


     Russell G. Allen, 45, of 476 Olive Hamlett Road, Benton was arrested on July
10, 2016 by Officer Brian Coleman for DUI 1st offense.  He was also charged
with an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.


     Jake D. Leggett, 27, of 8712 Northeast 80th Street, Vancouver, WA was arrested
on July 10, 2016 by Officer Matthew Humble for possession of a controlled
substance 1st degree 1st offense (LSD).  He was also charged with possession of
drug paraphernalia and speeding (62/45).


     Austin J. Hermsillo, 20, of 168 Alaska Street, Calvert City was charged on July
10, 2016 by Officer Matthew Humble with possession of marijuana, no
registration plates, and no registration receipt.


     Diana S. Kempf, 72, of 104 Windsor Drive, Calvert City was charged on July 11,
2016 by Officer Brian Coleman with possession of marijuana and possession of
drug paraphernalia.


     Keith A. Ralston, 31, of 50 Lone Valley Road, Gilbertsville was arrested on
July 13, 2016 by Captain Robert West for public intoxication - controlled
substances (excludes alcohol).


     Matthew P. McDougal, 29, of 765 Dunnigan Lane, Benton was arrested on July 13,
2016 by Officer Mike Canon for DUI 1st offense.  He was also charged with
failure to produce insurance card.


     Thomas F. Overfield III, 45, of 566 Elder Street, Calvert City was arrested on
July 13, 2016 by Officer Mike Canon on a Marshall County warrant for assault
4th degree (domestic violence) minor injury and criminal mischief 3rd degree.


     On June 29, 2016 the Calvert City Police Department responded to an alleged
shooting that happened at 580 East 10th Avenue in Calvert City.  After further
investigation of the shooting the Police Department received a search warrant
for the residence.  Search warrant revealed several items of drug and drug
paraphernalia, along with items related to firearms.  During the course of the
investigation Officer Wes Babcock was able to obtain information and evidence
that led to the arrest of Cody Noles for facilitation in the shooting of the
victim.

          Cody D. Noles, 18, of 546 New Hope Road, Benton was arrested on July 12,
2016 by Officer Matthew Humble on a Marshall County warrant for assault
1st degree, possession of a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense
(methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug
paraphernalia.

A juvenile was also charged in the shooting.

This case is still under investigation at this time.



On July 14, 2016 the Calvert City Police Department received a tip of marijuana
being shipped to Estron Chemicals.  Officers conducted an investigation that led
them to the alleged individuals involved.  Officers made contact with Christopher
Bigham, an employee of Estron Chemicals.  Subject had left work and was transporting
a large container in the bed of his truck.  Information between Bigham and the tip
matched.  A search warrant was executed on the large container.  The search warrant
revealed 61.4 pounds of marijuana, which has an approximate value of $195,000. 
Search incident to his arrest revealed two semi-automatic handguns.

Christopher C. Bigham, 44, of 137 Meadows Cemetery Road, Dawson Springs was arrested
on July 14, 2016 for trafficking in marijuana greater than 5 pounds 1st offense.

Further investigation led to Brian Travis, another employee of Estron Chemicals. 
Brian Travis was the alleged intended recipient of the container.  The container was
being transported by Christopher Bigham from Estron Chemicals to Brian Travis’
residence.

Brian D. Travis, 42, of 1322 Olive Creek Road, Benton was arrested on July 15, 2016
for trafficking in marijuana greater than 5 pounds 1st offense.

This case is still under investigation at this time.
