Marshall golfers compete in Kentucky Junior Amateur Championship

BARDSTOWN – Several current and former Marshall County High School golf team members competed Wednesday and Thursday in the Kentucky Junior Amateur Championship.

Hallie Riley took 4th in the 13-15 age division.

At Bardstown Country Club, Jay Nimmo finished tied for 2nd in the 13-14 division with +8 (76-76), three shots behind 1st place Robbie Bender of Louisville who finished +5 (76-73). Quinn Eaton +2 (76-70). Mason Lenhart of Prospect won the 17-18 division with Even par.

Playing at My Old Kentucky Home Golf Course in Bardstown, Hallie Riley took 4th in the girl’s 13-15 age group finishing +11 (77-78) and Savannah Howell finished 13th with +26 (93-77).

Marshall graduate Bailey Tyree finished tied for 12th in the 16-18 division with +11 (78-77). Tyree will play at Western Kentucky University this fall.
