Mark your calendar, the last chance to register for Marshall County Preschool/Head Start program before Preschool starts is July 7th and 8th. Applications will be taken from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on July 7th and 8th at the Marshall County Preschool Office, 905 Joe Creason Drive Benton, KY. No appointment necessary on these dates and children are not required to come to registration. The day of registration, the child's parent or guardian must bring proof of all household income for the past 12 months including child support for all children, the child's birth certificate, insurance/medical card, social security card, and custody papers (if applicable). Eligible children must be Marshall County residents, 3 or 4 years old on or before August 1st and qualify according to federal income guidelines or disability. Early Head Start, a home-based program for expectant mothers and children from birth to age 3 is also looking for participants. Early Head Start offers weekly learning lessons and social activities for children and families. Head Start staff can assist families to understand and access transportation options in order to participate in Head Start activities.
