LEXINGTON – Marshall County’s Track and Field teams competed in 16 events at Saturday’s Class 3A KHSAA State Track and Field Championships on the campus of the University of Kentucky.

Drey Reed had the top-placing performance of the day for Marshall County in the high jump, finishing in a tie for 6th with 6-00. Collin Gunn placed 10th in the 1600 meters in 4:32.58 and Garrett Womack 11th in the pole vault finishing with a height of 11-06.

Male took 1st among 38 girl’s teams, North Hardin 2nd and Dupont Manual 3rd. Henry Clay took 1st place honors out of 39 boy’s teams, 2nd went to Paul Lawrence Dunbar, 3rd to Tates Creek and the Marshals placed 34th.

In Class 2A results, Paducah Tilghman’s girls team placed 3rd and Calloway County third. In boy’s Class 2A, Tilghman took 10th. Murray’s girl’s team won the 1A title and the boy’s team placed 4th.
