On Saturday, May 21, 2016, the Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce in Marshall County helped J-Mack BBQ kick off their Grand Opening Celebration with a Ribbon Cutting at their new restaurant in Calvert City.

J-Mack BBQ is the new home to award-winning barbeque. After perfecting their cooking skills by competing in numerous barbeque competitions in several states, Jay & Michelle Tapscott decided to build a new home for their famous barbeque and offer it to the residents of Marshall County as well as the many lake visitors that come around every year. And if you are wondering what J-Mack stands for it is acronym for: J(Jay)– M(Michelle) A(and) C(Crazy or Chaotic) K (kids) because at any time there are four kids associated with this family that you may see there lending a hand around the restaurant.

At J-Mack BBQ you will get fresh cooked barbeque hot off the pit every day! Meats like ribs, brisket, pork, chicken plus they have all the sides to go with your meat of choice, even widely famous homemade potato chips. Daily Specials include: Mutton (Monday), Tater (Tuesday), Bologna (Wednesday), Ham & Hash Brown Casserole (Thursday). You can dine in or carry out your order. Buy it by the sandwich or buy it by the pound or let them cater your next event. J-Macks BBQ is located at 2323 U.S. Highway 62 on the stretch between I-24 and Ky Dam.
