Red Cross volunteering throughout western Kentucky

Volunteers with the Western Kentucky Chapter of the American Red Cross have been working in 8 counties that suffered damage after Tuesday’s storms and tornadoes.

Volunteers have assisted about 12 individuals in the city of Mayfield whose homes were damaged or destroyed. Residents of Ohio, Muhlenberg and Trigg counties have also been assisted.

The Red Cross has gone door to door in affected areas in Mayfield to make sure all residents affected have the assistance and support they need.

The Red Cross continues to monitor the situation and work with residents to work with those affected.
