Charity softball tournament to benefit Marshall County native with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

softballMay 14th at Mike Miller Park starting at 8:00 am, the coed softball team ‘Sliding Dirty’​ will be hosting a charity tournament and prize raffle honoring Aabby Gipson Risley.

Aabby is a 23 year old Marshall County native currently battling Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. As the ‘Cancer Crushers’ honorary coach, she will be throwing out the first pitch of the first game, as well as drawing winners  for raffle prizes.

The last day teams can enter to play is May 10th. There are a few spots left. Teams must be familiar with common coed tournament rules and restrictions (NSA modified rules, 6/4 team ratio, 44/400 or 52/300 balls, no Apex Outlaws, ASA/NSA/USSSA bats only – no Ultras). Entry fee per team $175.00

Raffle tickets will be sold for $1.00 each. Prizes will be drawn between games.  Local businesses who have donated prizes for the event include: Polaris of Benton, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Fluff Cupcakes, Color Of Light salon, Auto Zone of Benton, Choppers salon, Story’s Touch of Country, Maggie’s Jungle Golf, Corvette Lanes Bowling, Melenie Bishop Photography, Sullivan’s Par Three and Finish Line Car Wash.
