Pavement marker installation crew moving through Graves, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall & McCracken Counties starting THIS WEEK

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a rolling work zone along
highways in a number of District 1 Counties starting this week.

A slow-moving work zone caravan will be used to place raised pavement markers along
various highways in Graves, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, and McCracken County. Work
through these counties is expected to take 2 to 3 weeks, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert for a slow-movng mobile work caravan with rolling work
zone and one lane traffic. While traffic delays should be minimal, some delays are
possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the required
work.

Reynolds-Central Seal Joint Venture is the prime contractor. This work is part of a
$1.1 million project to place raised lane markers along various highways in KYTC
District 1 and District 2. This work will continue at various locations around the
region through the construction season as weather allows.

Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and construction
personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
