A Christian’s Response to Target

free cross picWith the news of a major shopping center changing their views on the uses of their facilities, I thought it would be appropriate to take a few minutes and discuss the Christian response to such action. Here are 10 easy steps for shopping at Target (or the thousands of other stores doing things we may or may not find questionable):

1. Hold open the door.

2. Smile.

3. Let the person who seems to be in a hurry in front of you.

4. Bless others.

5. Keep your eyes open. You might see Jesus there.

6. Spare a square if you have to.

7. Be nice to the check-outperson.

8. Return your cart to the proper place when finished.

9. Speak words of light.

10. Remember that you are the church and you’re a walking invitation to the church. Nobody wants to be part of a fearful, finger pointing, furious family.
