BARDWELL – Cody Clark blasted two home runs in the Marshals 10-0 win over Caldwell County on Thursday. The game began on an RBI single by Cameron Ives that put the Marshals on the board 1-0.

J.C. Goins did a good job on the mound getting the Marshals out of the bottom of the 1st after Carlisle put 2 runners on base with 2 outs, striking out Daniel West swinging.

The Marshals 5-run 3rd inning began on a single by Lucas Forsythe followed by Clark’s first homer of the game. Ives and Cole Griggs singled then a walk by Justice Beal loaded the bases for Dalton Andersson who hit an RBI single, Griggs scored on a wild pitch and Cole Austin hit a sacrifice fly that brought in Beal for a 6-0 lead.

A ground out by Ives scored Forsythe to go up 7-0 in the 4th inning followed by 2 more runs in the 6th that came on Clarks’ second blast of the game over the left field fence. The Marshals final run of the game was scored on a bases loaded walk by Ives.

The 12-10 Marshals will play Ballard Memorial at home on Monday. They lost to the Bombers 4-2 in the 4th game of the season.
