MURRAY – Christian Fellowship Lady Eagles fell 10-0 to Ballard Memorial in Wednesday’s 1st Region All ‘A’ Classic in Murray. A solo home run by Ballard’s Shelby Amis gave the Lady Bombers a 2-0 lead in the 1st inning. CFS left 3 runners stranded in the 2nd and 2 in the 5th while Ballard put together two 3-run innings in the 3rd and 6th innings for the 6-inning win on 14 hits.

The Lady Eagles followed up their loss to Ballard with a 13-1 five inning win over Fulton City on Thursday, snapping a 3-game losing streak. Abigail Cima was 3 for 4 at the plate with a triple and 2 RBI’s to help lead CFS while Ortt pitched five innings allowing 4 hits, 1 run and striking out 4.
Leading 2-0 in the top of the 3rd, CFS scored 3 more runs on a ground-out RBI by Ortt, Cima scored on an error and an RBI double by Abbie Fletcher.
Their 6-run 5th inning put the game away highlighted by Cima’s triple and a double by Rachel Howard.
The Lady Eagles are 8-6 and play at Hickman County Friday and at Livingston Central on Saturday.
