The bridge at 12th & Pine in Benton has been closed to thru traffic due to damage from flooding.
The bridge at 12th and Pine had substantial damage in the flash flooding in December.
The city maintenance department repaired it temporarily until it could be replaced.
With all the recent rains we have been concerned about the stability of the bridge.
We had a state inspector come look and he has suggested that we close the bridge.
We are hoping that the new bridge will be in place by June.
