Turkey Bay Spring Volunteer Clean-up

LAND BETWEEN THE LAKES, KY/TN - Volunteers are needed for the annual Turkey Bay
Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Area clean-up
day<http://www.landbetweenthelakes.us/calendar/ohv-cleanup-day/> on Saturday, April
2, beginning at 9:30am at [cid:image006.png@01D17AD0.D34E8620] Land Between The
Lakes National Recreation Area. Volunteers will engage in a variety of facility and
trail maintenance projects.
"This is a great way to help us prepare our trails for riders," explained Kyle
Varel, Turkey Bay OHV Area Manager. "Helping us maintain our trails for the season
has become a tradition for many of our riders."
A required safety briefing will begin at 9:30am at the Turkey Bay gatehouse.
Volunteers should bring lunch, water, and an OHV. All
[cid:image008.png@01D17AD0.D34E8620] other materials and tools will be provided. The
clean-up will last until 3pm. For more information, contact Kyle Varel at

closure, the clean-up day will not be rescheduled.
            Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area manages more than
170,000 acres in western Kentucky and Tennessee as part of the U.S.
Forest Service and the Department of Agriculture's public lands program.
Land Between The Lakes offers outdoor recreation, lake access, land
management, and environmental education to over 1.4 million visitors
annually. The Friends of Land Between The Lakes works in partnership
with the Forest Service providing program services, funds development,
and volunteer support.
