2016-2017 Marshall County Preschool/Head Start Registration Marshall County Preschool/Head Start is now accepting applications for the 2016-2017 school year. Registration is by appointment only at the Preschool/ Head Start office located at 905 Joe Creason Drive, Benton. Eligible children must be residents of Marshall County, 3 or 4 years of age by August 1st, 2016 and qualify according to income guidelines. Children with disabilities qualify regardless of income. Registration appointments for three year olds are available February 29th-March 4th. Four year old registration appointments are available April 18th-April 22nd. At the time of the registration appointment, parents will need to bring: -child's certified birth certificate -proof of all 2015 income (including child support, K-Tap, Social Security, SSI and school grant/scholarship information) -child's medical insurance card -custody papers, if applicable Preschool developmental screenings will be held on March 30th. Applications are also being accepted for our Early Head Start program, a home-based option for pregnant moms and children up to the age of 3. Families must meet income guidelines to qualify. Transportation services may be provided for Preschool/Head Start. Head Start staff will assist families to understand and access transportation options in order to participate in Head Start program activities.
