A woman faces charges after a single-vehicle accident Tuesday in Marshall County.
The Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene on U.S. Highway 68 where they spoke to the driver of the vehicle, 53-year-old Carla D. Davis of Benton. The deputy said she smelled of alcohol, and that she admitted she had been drinking.
Davis was taken to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Due to her injuries, she was cited to appear in court later on a DUI charge.
