Mr. Jackie Ray Tynes, age 74 of Benton, KY, passed away Friday, January 15, 2015 at 9:35 p.m. at his home.
Born January 7, 1942 in Paducah, KY, he was an avid hunter, coon and rabbit dog trainer. He retired after 33 years of service with B.F. Goodrich Chemical Company in Calvert City, KY.
Mr. Tynes is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandra (Pauley) Tynes of Benton, KY, one son, Keith Tynes, wife Susie of Benton, KY, one daughter, Jacquelyne Seay, husband Jeff of Benton, KY, three grandchildren; Brandon Tynes of Nashville, TN, Kayle Sanders, husband Taylor of Benton, KY, Denver Seay, wife Lizzy of Edwardsville, IL. Seven brothers; Jimmy Tynes, wife Vanna of Symsonia, KY, Larry Tynes, wife Carol of Symsonia, KY, Phillip Tynes, wife Ann of Benton, KY, Mark Tynes, wife Joy of Hardin, KY, Joel Tynes, wife Shirley of Burna, KY, Brooks Tynes,
wife Vicki of Benton, KY, David Tynes, wife Annie of Benton, KY and Jeff Tynes, wife Mary of Sharpe, KY, one sister; Hope Tynes McKinney of Dexter, KY. One sister-in-law, Carol Tynes of Benton, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents the late James Ralph Tynes and the late Thelma Paris (Woods) Tynes, one brother, Dennis Tynes.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Bro. Jimmy Seaford will officiate.
Interment will follow the service in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Friends may visit with the family after 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2016 until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. at the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025.
