Marshall County names Superintendent Trent Lovett new Head Softball Coach

trent lovettMarshall County High School has announced that its new Head Softball Coach is Superintendent Trent Lovett. Lovett has worked in the Marshall County School System for 26 years.

He has served in many different capacities in the Marshall County School District. Serving as math and science teacher, middle school principal, high school principal and current superintendent.

Lovett has previously coached track, cross-country, basketball, football. He has worked with youth softball in Marshall County for the past 18 years and has always had a passion for coaching softball.

With former Head Coach Kara Hamby’s resignation last week, Lovett wanted to make sure that the softball program had a quality coach in place for the upcoming season.

He will start working with the team immediately with winter workouts. Anyone in grades 7-12 wanting to try out for the softball team can email him at trent.lovett@marshall.kyschools.us.
