FRANKFORT – Ty Buchmeier, an 8th grade student at North Marshall Middle School, was selected to play in the KMSFA (Kentucky Middle School Football Association) East-West All-Star Classic held on Saturday, November 28th in Frankfort.
Marshall County Head Coach Evan Merrick nominated a few middle school players at the conclusion of their season, who were then selected to attend a tryout in Lexington on November 7th. At that tryout Ty was selected as a member of the West All Stars along with players from all over the state.
“The KMSFA has been around a few years and is gaining some popularity around the state as a way to showcase middle school football”, Coach Merrick said.
Ty played Wide Receiver and Safety in Saturday’s game and was part of the win the 27-26 West Team win.
