Tyree will continue her golf career at Western Kentucky University

BENTON – Bailey Tyree will continue her golfing career at the collegiate level after signing her letter Friday to play for Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky.bailey tyree 2

Bailey has been a member of the Marshall County High School Golf Team for eight years, becoming the 1st Region Champion and leading the Lady Marshals to a 1st Region team title this season.

She won the Marshall County Invitational in 2013 and has competed in the KHSAA State Golf Championships six of her eight years on the Marshall County team.

Bailey played on the Golfweek Junior Tour 2014-2015 All-Midwest Team and during that time earned Player of the Year in her age division.

She said Western feels like home, she likes the environment and it will be an easy transition saying, “Everything is so nice and I love being there.”

Western is a part of Conference USA and the head coach is Adam Gary who is in his second season. Bailey plans to major in Business.
