BENTON – Tessica D. Nelson, 31 of Gilbertsville, accepted the Commonwealth’s plea agreement offer of nine years in prison following a guilty plea a week ago in District Court.
Nelson was arrested on July 24th by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department on charges of 2nd Degree Manslaughter, a Class C Felony and Tampering with Physical Evidence stemming from an investigation that led to the arrest for administering a lethal dose of Benadryl to her two year old daughter on May 15th.
A Marshall County Grand Jury indicted Nelson on those charges on July 17th. She will be formally sentenced on December 7th.
