CLINTON – Christian Fellowship defeated Carlisle County 3-0 (25-8, 25-7, 25-11) Monday in their opening game of the 1st Region volleyball tournament at Hickman County High School. In the other quarter-final game, McCracken County defeated Graves County 3-0 (25-6, 25-16, 25-9) and the two teams will meet on Wednesday in the semi-finals at 5:30.
This will be the first meeting of the two squads this season. The Lady Mustangs have not lost a single game or match to a 1st Region opponent in their three years as a team since the schools consolidation in 2013.
The Lady Marshals defeated Ballard Memorial 3-1 (25-13, 25-17, 20-25, 25-18) in Tuesday’s quarter-final game and will play the second semi-final game on Wednesday against Paducah Tilghman who defeated Hickman County 3-2 (8-25, 25-23, 25-18, 21-15, 16-14).
The championship game will be played on Thursday at 6:00.
