PADUCAH, KY – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict eastbound traffic to one lane along Interstate 24 near Paducah on Wednesday, October 21.

Eastbound traffic along I-24 will be restricted to one lane between the 11 and 12 mile marker to allow erosion control work along the the shoulder area. This is along I-24 eastbound just east of the KY 1954/Husbands Road Exit 11 Interchange at Paducah.

All traffic in this work zone will move to the left-hand or passing lane. Eastbound motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach Exit 11. This work zone may also limit the merge area for traffic entering the eastbound lanes from Exit 11.

This eastbound work zone along I-24 in McCracken County is expected to be in place from about 9:00 a.m., CDT, to about 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
