DRAFFENVILLE – The #1 seed Christian Fellowship Lady Eagles played the first semi-final game against #4 seed Murray High Monday in the 4th District Tournament at CFS.

The Lady Eagles took care of the Lady Tigers in three straight games after trailing briefly in the first game then tying it 6-6, scoring the next six point to lead 12-6 with Murray tightening the game up at 13-11. CFS went on to out-score Murray 12-4 to get the first game win 25-15 behind several great blocks at the net by Rebekah Muller and Abigail Cima with the final point coming on a kill by Muller.

Game two was close throughout with both teams tying the game four different times with both teams having a little trouble keeping serves in-bounds. At 13-12, CFS took the lead and never relinquished it taking the second game 25-18.

Murray jumped out to a 7-0 lead in game three before CFS got on the board, slowly inching their way back in behind five straight service points by Karlee Phillips to pull the Lady Eagles within two points trailing 13-11. CFS took their first lead of game three at 18-17 that was followed by a back and forth battle the Lady Eagles won taking game three 25-21.

The Lady Eagles will meet the Lady Marshals, who beat Calloway County in the second semi-final game 3-1, in Thursday’s 4th District Championship game at 6:00 at Christian Fellowship. Both teams will advance to the 1st Region Tournament.
