Spray Operation Moves to Livingston, Lyon and Caldwell Counties

road

Spray crews with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be working along Interstate 24 between the 30 mile marker and the 56 mile marker in Livingston, Lyon and Caldwell counties on Wednesday, October 7.

Motorists should exercise appropriate caution when they encounter slow-moving spray trucks and support vehicles working along the passing lane. Motorists should be prepared to slow down and move to the right-hand or driving lane to safely pass this mobile work zone and spray crew caravan.

The crew plans to start at mile marker 30 around 8:00 a.m. and work eastward to the 56 mile marker at the KY 139 Princeton-Cadiz Exit 56. The slow-moving caravan will then reverse course and work along the westbound passing lane back to the 30 mile marker.

Again, the spray truck and support vehicles will be moving at about 15 miles per hour along the passing lane. The caravan should be able to complete this circuit by mid-afternoon.

Motorists are asked to slow down and use appropriate caution when they encounter this caravan working along Interstate 24 TODAY.

Depending on weather and other factors, the crew may be back out on additional sections of I-24 over the next few days.
