“We’re fortunate here at Murray State to have people like Dr. Bob Burton. People who not only love this university, but give back in many ways,” Ward added. “I will be forever grateful to Dr. Burton and his family for this generous gift.”

We are very pleased to be able to assist the university with this gift in order to complete The Burton Family Hall of Champions.

The attractions of the Hall of Champions are many, including four interactive touch screens where fans can browse videos, photos and articles. For example, some of the great Racer moments include video of NCAA Tournament games and hundreds of photos. All America selections and academic award winners are also highlighted.

The Murray State Athletics Hall of Fame also has a prominent place in the Hall of Champions.

Ringing the room of the facility, there are sport sections that highlight the history of each Murray State program. An additional area of great moments brings attention to special accomplishments and the dates they occurred.

The Hall of Champions has 3,200 square feet of display space where championship trophies and other unique memorabilia items are showcased.
