McCracken County deputies were dispatched to reports of a single vehicle accident along Said Road on September 28 around 6 a.m. to the area of the Reidland Ball Fields.
According to deputies, upon arrival they located a 1992 GMC Sonoma in a ditch with its front end in a pond. Deputies were unable to locate anyone in or around the vehicle. Further investigation reviled that the truck was traveling South on Said Road when it ran off the left side, traveled along the side of the road before entering a tree line and coming to a rest in the edge of a pond.
Michelle Denniston, 52, was located walking away from the accident with non-incapacitating injuries. Denniston stated that while traveling from Reidland to Symsonia she ran off the roadway and into the ditch. Denniston was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Deputies determined that alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash and Denniston was charged with Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
