A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a lane restriction on the US 68/KY 80 Eggners Ferry Bridge at Aurora on Friday, September 25, 2015.
The contractor plans an extended concrete pour on the new bridge starting at approximately 7:30 a.m., CDT, on Friday and extending to about 5:00 p.m., Friday. This lane restriction is to allow the contract to pour a column for Pier 5 on the new bridge. One lane traffic is required on the existing bridge to allow deliveries of concrete to the construction site for the new structure.
Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow. Some delays are possible in the work zone during the movement and placement of equipment.
