Lady Marshals and Lady Eagles lead 4th District with 4-1 records

BENTON – Christian Fellowship and Marshall County volleyball teams are both 4-1 in 4th District play, their only loss coming to each other. CFS currently has a record of 13-8, 12-3 in 1st Region play while the Lady Marshals are 10-8 and 8-3 against 1st Region opponents.

Since their loss to CFS on September 15th, the Lady Marshals lost to McCracken County 3-0 (25-21, 25-24, 25-10) and have won the last two straight over Community Christian Academy 3-1 (25-21, 25-16, 20-25, 25-22) and 3-1 over Graves County (25-19, 22-25, 25-16, 25-22).

Friday and Saturday, they will play in the Quad State Tournament at the Plex in Paducah, opening up against Southwestern Friday at 9:00 pm. Southwestern is 15-9 in the 12th Region. CFS will play Madisonville North Hopkins Friday at 6:00 in their first game of the tournament. The Lady Maroons are 10-10 in the 2nd Region.

Last week CFS beat Murray 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-16) and went 1-3 in the All ‘A’ State Tournament in Louisville beating Washington County 2-1 (25-15, 18-25, 25-18) and losing 2-0 to Bethlehem (25-17, 25-18), 2-1 to Edmonson County (25-15, 25-22) and 2-0 to Beechwood (25-11, 25-10).
