Over 100 marijuana plants discovered growing inside local residence

MARSHALL COUNTY – The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on US 68 W on Wednesday in reference to a reported indoor grown operation.

Detective Tidwell and Deputy Oakley made contact with the resident, William Davis, and during the investigation deputies located approx. 120 marijuana plants being grown inside the residence.

Also located inside the residence were several bags of processed marijuana, along with quantities of marijuana in different stages of processing. One marijuana plant is capable of producing approximately one pound of processed marijuana.

William Davis, age 46 was arrested and lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center. Davis was charged with cultivation in marijuana over 5 plants and trafficking in marijuana 8 ounces but less than 5lbs.
