40th annual Grand Rivers Arts & Crafts Festival on the agenda for Labor Day weekend

grandrivers-festivalGRAND RIVERS – The 40th Annual Arts & Crafts Festival in Little Lake Park of Grand Rivers, KY will be held on Labor Day weekend, Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7. The festival is an annual fundraiser for Kentucky’s Western Waterland, a regional membership organization that promotes tourism. Close to a 100 craft booths and artisans from seven states will be a part of the event.

Handcrafted items will be available with some artisans providing demonstrations. Floral arrangements, baskets, outdoor lawn furniture, paintings, honey, soaps, lotions, jewelry, quilts, woodwork, holiday decorations, pottery, candles, gourds, stained glass, bird houses, rocking chairs, weather vanes and much more will be available all three days. Visitors can also enjoy a wide variety of delicious festival food and regional specialties.

Little Lake Park is accessible from Exit 31 off Interstate 24 with festival signs marking the southern route along KY 453. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

On Monday, the hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $1 per person (walk-in) or $3 per vehicle parking. On Saturday evening, the City of Grand Rivers will provide a fireworks display at dark for the public.
